The Law School Admission Council (¾«¶«Ó°Òµ) has named Sudha Setty as its president and chief executive officer, effective July 1, 2025.

The Law School Admission Council (¾«¶«Ó°Òµ) will soon begin a rigorous search for its next president and CEO. Following seven years of dedicated and successful service as ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s president and CEO, Kellye Testy will assume the role as executive director and CEO of the Association of American Law Schools effective July 1, 2024.

IAALS, the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System, and the Law School Admission Council (¾«¶«Ó°Òµ), today announced a new joint project — Foundations 2.0 — designed to provide a comprehensive updated view of the skills and competencies new lawyers need to succeed and serve clients well in the rapidly evolving legal profession.

The Law School Admission Council announced today a bold initiative that will offer undergraduate students a new, holistic pathway to law school. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s new Legal Education Program will help students develop the skills necessary for success in law, navigate the law school admission process, and build a supportive community of belonging in law.  

The Law School Admission Council announced today the expansion of its LawHub offerings through the acquisition of Law School Transparency, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing innovative tools that help aspiring law school students make informed decisions about their legal education future. As part of this expansion, Law School Transparency’s co-founder and executive director, Kyle McEntee, has joined ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s growing LawHub team as senior director for prelaw solutions. 

The Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Section on Women in Legal Education will honor Camille deJorna, deputy for legal and global higher education at Law School Admission Council (¾«¶«Ó°Òµ), as the recipient of the 2022 Ruth Bader Ginsburg Lifetime Achievement Award. The honor will be presented at the section’s award ceremony at the 2022 AALS Annual Meeting on January 6.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, a champion for access and equity in legal education for more than 75 years, announced today that it is broadening its support for law school candidates across a wider range of the prelaw through practice journey by expanding its offerings and programming through ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ LawHub^®.

Anti-racist approaches to leadership and professional development will be center’s initial focus

The Law School Admission Council, a champion for quality, access, and equity in law and education, has named Angela Winfield as its chief diversity officer. Winfield will be joining ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ this May and at a pivotal period for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the legal profession. She will help shape the future of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, of law and education, and of access to justice. She will also lead DEI initiatives to help students from underrepresented groups find pathways into the legal profession.
